We all know that an ac air conditioner is used to cool the air of an indoor space. It works on the principle that when a liquid is turned into a gas it is actually able to absorb heat. Through the use of a closed system of coils an AC uses this principle with evaporation and condesing over and over.
The componids that are used in this system are named refrigerants. These are able to change at low temperatures. An AC unit also uses fans that allow for the movement of warmer indoor air to transport it over the cold refrigerant coils.
The refrigerant inside the evaporator coils actually absorb heat from the air flow when the refridgerant changes itself from a liquid to a gaseous state. To keep this process continoues the AC air conditioner will have to transform the gas back to a liquid. This is done by the means of a compressor. The heat is that generated through this process with the compressor is moved outdoors by using the condensor coils and a fan. Once the gas then begins to cool again, it changes back to a liquid and the process starts from scratch again.
Therefore the refrigerant is cooling the indoor air and you and the gas is always being compressed and cooled back to a liquid. It also leaves all the hot air outside.
This process is the more a less the same in all airconditioning units, whether you have a window ac, a split ac, a central ac, a portable ac or wall ac. The difference between them is where all these parts lie. Some will have all the components in one package, whereas others will have some part on the inside and the others on the outside. However, they all do the samejob of emmitting cool air indoors and expelling warm air outside.
You stay cool and comfortable on the indoors all thanks to the AC air conditioner.
